This is the conventional system; students arrive in the morning, attend classes of academic subjects and a period each in the core-curricular areas of Arts, Craft, Music and Computer, Games and leave for home by afternoon. After school, it is the responsibility of the parent for the child's security, supervision, completion of home-work and new learning areas. At times though, some students are asked to stay after school hours in case of preparation of any activity, rehearsal or school function; in such case, parents are informed in advance to facilitate pick up at the designated time.

This is the new approach to schooling; where the child comes to school in the morning with the school Bag and returns home in the evening without the school Bag, primarily to spend time with the family, eat dinner and sleep!

All the needs of the child viz. food, education, homework, sports, games, co-curricular development, reading etc are the responsibility of the school. The day boarding schedule provides for a time-tabled program from morning to evening for all of the above, duly attended to and supervised by appropriate teachers, coaches and instructors. The extra time is an opportunity for the child to undertake the higher level of coaching/ guidance/ practice in the chosen area of sports/ music/ dance etc along with remedial and enrichment classes in academic subjects. All in all- every need- is provided at one place.

Boarding at Sanskar is more than a hostel attached to a School; it is a comprehensive Residential School program in a “home away from home”; where all the personal growing needs of the child are provided in a holistic manner by experienced and committed teachers and staff. The children are known to become independent by having to do most of the things themselves and learn to live with others. The Boarding School is most suitable for families outside of Bargarh and / or those who wish to give their children this complete living – learning experience.

Boys and Girls in separate Dormitories built to be comparable to the best anywhere in the country. Each Dormitory is one Big Family under the care of a Resident House Parent, who looks after all aspects of care. With a common Room for watching TV at appropriate times and suitable programs, playing indoor games and a well-stocked Dorm Library to inculcate the habit of reading. Students of the Boarding School go home for vacations in summer, winter and other designated times. Parents can visit their children once a month on second Saturday. The students can talk to their parents and relatives over phone / E-mail as per the School Schedule.

To promote and inculcate healthy competitive spirit, students are given scholarships for their good academic performances. Scholarship amount varies from  5 Percent to 25 percent according to their merits and achievements.

Girl Child Benefit: To promote Girl child Education the School Management has decided to give girl child benefit of 5 percent in the tuition fees.

All the major areas of the school like admission counter, fee counter, library and labs, students results are linked with it. A whatsApp broad cast facility is also the main feature which helps the management to send and receive message, notice, circulars to and from the parents.

Looking to the increased mobile usage, the school has started informing parents about the child's progress, holidays & other important details through SMS facility. Parents can also get & give all the information by sending SMS in return.

To inculcate a high sense of National integrity and universal brotherhood, each working day in the school starts with morning assembly including school prayer, devotional and patriotic songs. Stress is also laid on the moral development of the students. News reading, reciting poems with full actions, moral teachings and singing songs in chorus are the remarkable features of the morning assembly. National Anthem is sung during the prayer time from Monday to Saturday. Every week is assigned for one moral activity. Different and special days are celebrated like World Earth Day, Vanmahotsav and World Aids Day etc. Special Assemblies on special days & festival celebration are important features of the assembly.

We celebrate all festivals & important days through recreational activities. Arts and crafts give a lot of creative opportunities to the students. Every child participates and has in his/her time table for the arts and crafts work, where minimum 'B' grade is required to get promoted. They learn making stuffed dolls to paper work, match stick work, clay modeling, cardboard modeling, instrumentation etc. All these activities of the whole year are displayed in the form of Art & Craft Exhibition.

School gives lots of opportunities for self- expression and advancement of the cultural heritage. On Saturdays there are special programmes like Dramatics, dance, music & fine arts. Every child gets the opportunity to Participate.

To induce leadership quality, healthy competition and team spirit, co-curricular activities are introduced on house basis. The houses have been named after significant colors - Einstein (Blue), Darwin (Green), Curie (Red) and Newton (Yellow).

Clubs like 'Ecology Club', Magazine Club, Social Service Club, Integrity club, Photography Club, Science Club, 'Maths Club', E & I Club, Arts Club, Quiz Club, Literary Club etc. have been formed in the school. Students Active participation in all these fields under the guidance of teachers Helps to develop the personalities of the children in all dimensions.

It is imparted to the students by Mass P.T./drill, yoga and providing facilities of outdoor and indoor games to encourage healthy sportsman character, building sound body and healthy competitive spirit among the students. Excellent sports facilities with Volleyball, Throw Ball, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football and field events are promoted in SIS.

'SPORTS WEEK ' a reflection of sports activities is organized by the school every year.

Computerized library with a large volume of books, periodicals & course oriented journals are the special features which help us to shape the students into a versatile genius. It's open between 9.00 am & 5.00 pm.

The school has started E-library facility for students. Students are issued books by password issued to them. This helps them to read and browse the E-library books at any place & at any time with the help of computers/tablets.

Children learn many things from the neighborhood community resources. This includes people, places and things found in the community which can facilitate learning. For this the child should have real life experiences. Our programme includes Excursions and bimonthly educational visits to all the learning centres in the vicinity like Banks, Fruit- Market, Super Market, PowerStations, VidhanSabha, Air-Port, Factories, etc. as its learning centres.

To keep a good rapport between parents & teachers & for the betterment of the child , 6 PTMs are scheduled for a year.Usually PTM are conducted before the exam to discuss the syllabus and after the exam to see their progress for the better progress of the students.
