Information Technology

We have this computer Labs(junior & senior) in which 40 students can perform practical simultaneously Computer Education gas been imparted from Nursery onwards.Periods have been allotted to each class so that the child moces with present era.Computer Aided Learning (CAL) and technology aided learning gives momentum to the pace of learning and makes it pleasant experience.

Science & Maths Laboratories

Educational Visits & Tour are part of study and class activity and hence all are expected to join them. It is meant to encourage and strengthen friendliness and love for each other. It is also meant to provide relaxation and fun and develop knowledge of places and people.

Language Lab

Language Lab has been set-up to give useful information regarding English Grammar and Spoken English.It provides New techniques to remove the difficulties of spelling mistakes and phonetics.BOMIS gives the opportunity to develop the child’s personality through this language lab.

Naitik Vikas Pariksha

Because of declining moral values the School has decided to inculcate respect for moral values by way of conducting Naitik Vikas Pariksha.This exam is conducted for class III TO XII in the month of Oct./Nov. every year.Besides our own School the exam is also scheduled in different schools of the region.

Tours and Excursions.

Music is the food of mind.It is a kind of magic which gives pleasure and ecstasy to students to feel rhythm in their study.Special schedules are allotted to students for Dance,Music,Vocal,ballet and skit under the experts.BOMIS Sangeet Vidalaya is the outcome of this venture which runsd Diploma courses in Vocal,Instrumental and Dance.It is affiliated to Indira Kala-Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya,Khairagarh.

Swimming Pool

Swimming is a good exercise” Keep this point in view the school has set up its own swimming pool with shower and changing room.Along with this one splash pool is also built for the Tiny Tots of Pre-Primary section.

Children Park

The Pre-Primary wing has a children’s park which is provided with colourful swings,slides,see-saw,High bar,Low bar etc. Childrenlook forward to their P.E.periods so that they can enjoy and exercise as well.

Art/Craft Room

Skills in drawing painting and sketching are imparted to the students. Art works for display boards for the whole school are created here.The varied creative intrests of the students are taken care of under the guidance and supervision of fully trained teachers.

Karate

Karate is the art of self-defence”.It is also necessary for self confidence.Students are given coaching for karate by trained instructors.An exam of karate is held each year in our school by external examiners and the students are awarded belts with certificates.

Auditorium

An upcoming auditorium will come into existence with all modern amenities.

Safety & Security

The topmost priority of the school is safety and security of its students in the entire campus and transport. The gated campus is ringed by high walls and has only one point of entry/exit manned by round-the-clock security staff. CCTV and intruder alarm systems are in place at strategic points around the campus. All students and staff members are provided RFID tags for safety & security.

Medical Facility

School has well equipped infirmary to cater to any medical emergencies inside the campus. infirmary is equipped with beds, examination table, other equipments, medicines etc. to provide first aid or handle minor sickness to the students. There is direct access to ambulance in case of any emergency.

Day School

This is the conventional system; students arrive in the morning, attend classes of academic subjects and a period each in the core-curricular areas of Arts, Craft, Music and Computer, Games and leave for home by afternoon. After school, it is the responsibility of the parent for the child's security, supervision, completion of home-work and new learning areas. At times though, some students are asked to stay after school hours in case of preparation of any activity, rehearsal or school function; in such case, parents are informed in advance to facilitate pick up at the designated time.

Day Boarding School

This is the new approach to schooling; where the child comes to school in the morning with the school Bag and returns home in the evening without the school Bag, primarily to spend time with the family, eat dinner and sleep!

All the needs of the child viz. food, education, homework, sports, games, co-curricular development, reading etc are the responsibility of the school. The day boarding schedule provides for a time-tabled program from morning to evening for all of the above, duly attended to and supervised by appropriate teachers, coaches and instructors. The extra time is an opportunity for the child to undertake the higher level of coaching/ guidance/ practice in the chosen area of sports/ music/ dance etc along with remedial and enrichment classes in academic subjects. All in all- every need- is provided at one place.

Boarding School – Class I to XII

Boarding at Sanskar is more than a hostel attached to a School; it is a comprehensive Residential School program in a “home away from home”; where all the personal growing needs of the child are provided in a holistic manner by experienced and committed teachers and staff. The children are known to become independent by having to do most of the things themselves and learn to live with others. The Boarding School is most suitable for families outside of Bargarh and / or those who wish to give their children this complete living – learning experience.

Boys and Girls in separate Dormitories built to be comparable to the best anywhere in the country. Each Dormitory is one Big Family under the care of a Resident House Parent, who looks after all aspects of care. With a common Room for watching TV at appropriate times and suitable programs, playing indoor games and a well-stocked Dorm Library to inculcate the habit of reading. Students of the Boarding School go home for vacations in summer, winter and other designated times. Parents can visit their children once a month on second Saturday. The students can talk to their parents and relatives over phone / E-mail as per the School Schedule.

Food and Dining

A balanced and nutritious diet for the young children is provided where the menu and the preparations are taken care of personally by the Management; in a modern and well equipped kitchen. Food in school is mandatory for Day Boarding and Boarding, and optional for Day School students.

Sports and Games:

Sound mind lives in a healthy body keeping in view we have setup various grounds and courts for Football, Lawn Tennis,Volleyball,Handball,Cricket,Kho-kho,Kabaddi,Athletics(Track& field). Ample facilities have been given for outdoor/Indoor games.Chess,Carrom,Table Tennis.Badminton are some of the games which entertain the students in their leisure time.Cricket Academy under the aegis GCCA(Govind Chauhan Cricket Academy)Bhilai run by former international Cricketer Shri Rajesh Chauhan.

Sports & Adventures:

BIRLA OPEN MINDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, AMBIKAPUR shall provide an assortment of indoor and outdoor activities to promote physical fitness and nurture the spirit of adventure in students. Activities include:Cricket, Football, Lawn tennis , Basketball , Table tennis, Chess, Yoga , Carem.

Kids Academy (Pre-Primary Wing)

Montessori Wing has been given special attention by providing separate Kids Garden, Mini Swimming Pool, Swings, Slides, Toy Room, Clay Modeling Corner, Activity Corner & Audio Visual Aids. Personal attention is given to each child through constant evaluation. Child's personal profile, filled in with grades, based on personality, health, academics, sports, co-curricular activities etc., is provided to the parents in every P.T.A. Meeting. Children are taken for excursion to give them real life experiences. Special Days (viz Colors Day, Shapes Day, Fruit Day, Seasons etc.) are celebrated to clear the concepts through activities & games. Festival celebration and moral values based thematic assemblies help the children to develop and retain our culture & values.

Assembly

To inculcate a high sense of National integrity and universal brotherhood, each working day in the school starts with morning assembly including school prayer, devotional and patriotic songs. Stress is also laid on the moral development of the students. News reading, reciting poems with full actions, moral teachings and singing songs in chorus are the remarkable features of the morning assembly. National Anthem is sung during the prayer time from Monday to Saturday. Every week is assigned for one moral activity. Different and special days are celebrated like World Earth Day, Vanmahotsav and World Aids Day etc. Special Assemblies on special days & festival celebration are important features of the assembly.

Library

Computerized library with a large volume of books, periodicals & course oriented journals are the special features which help us to shape the students into a versatile genius. It's open between 9.00 am & 5.00 pm.

E - Library

The school has started E-library facility for students. Students are issued books by password issued to them. This helps them to read and browse the E-library books at any place & at any time with the help of computers/tablets.

Labs

There are 3 well equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs as per the guideline of CBSE with a capacity of 32 students. Computer Education is also provided along with main subjects. We teach Computer as a mandatory subject from Class I to VIII. In Class-IX and X Information Technology is provided as a vocational subject. In Class XI & XII Computer Science (Science stream) and Information Technology (Commerce stream) is taught as a technical subject.

Transport

BIRLA OPEN MINDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, AMBIKAPUR has inbuilt comfort and safety into the transportation services. All the buses are equipped with RFID & CCTV cameras which helps to monitor & locate them with GPS tracking system. We have different bus routes throughout the city. Every bus is having a driver, conductor and one lady conductor equipped with mobile phone.
